I am watching Honey run to the mailbox. Wearing my shoes, that don’t fit him. It’s making me laugh.
We had a good weekend. The Boy and Mousey went to camp with the youth group. So of course, they had mucho fun. But Honey, Ab-Cat and I? We did alright. I was going to say it the way Randy from American Idol says it. I always feel foolish when I do that. So I put it back, the right way.
On Thursday, Honey made salsa. Someday we will all become rich when he starts his own business to actually sell the stuff. We are still stuck on the name of the company.

He was making this batch for a guy at work who was having a Superbowl party.
Back to the weekend. On Friday night we ate dinner at a restaurant we like. We can only go there when The Boy is not present. He does not dig Arabic food. Mousey particularly enjoys this place as well. Too bad for her, she was off having mucho fun elsewhere.
On Saturday night we were going to go to Outback. Abby’s treat! That is a treat when your children take you out for dinner!!! But Honey had spent the whole day fixing the water heater, and I was unaware that I would not be able to take a shower until the dang thing heated up again. By the time I was ready, it was 6. You cannot eat in our town after 5:30. Unless you want to wait. Which I DO NOT. I believe I may have mentioned that I turn into a complete beast if I get too hungry. And I was about an eyelash away from that point.
So we toured our town, and another nearby town, and settled on Culver’s. A burger and fries has seldom tasted so good. Plus, Ab and I had Concrete Mixers. She: Cookie Dough, Me: Strawberry Bonbon. Honey had Butter Brickle in a dish. I’m sure she came out paying less than if we had went “Outback Tonight”. Thanks for dinner Ab!
We then watched random things collected all week by our ever so reliable and devoted DVR. We heart it. We also watched a strange, sweet, little movie called “Henry Poole is Here”.
I knitted a great deal this weekend. I have many scarves yet to make. With every one, I learn something new. I will be a baby genius by next week. Don’t worry Honey and BFG. I will never catch up with you Guys.

The one on the right is still sans fringe. I call it the “Superbowl”. Because that is when I made it. The one on the left is Schmenky’s. It has blue in it as requested. I call it “The Schmenkman”. Because I am original.
The kids came home yesterday at around 4:30. The Boy had called and said that their bus had broken down, but another church bus had picked them up and deposited them home. I am very thankful. You know I have issues about driving on freeways. And my children being gone.
They were both so glad to be home. And to shower. And eat anything other than yukky camp food.
We all watched the Superbowl. Except Miss Muggins Q. Mouse. She played Solitaire. We were a house divided. The Boy and The Ab-Cat were for the Steeler’s. Honey and I were for the red team. Because Kurt Warner is a Christian. I’m sure that I have just surprised you all that I know his name. The only other thing I know about him is that he has 7 kids. I just kept saying “7 kids, really?”
Plus, I always like the underdog. We really thought they might pull it off. I spent the majority of the game worried about the players with the long hair streaming out of their helmets. Every time they said the name Cromartie, we all said “CROMARTIE!”. Because that is the name of the bad Terminator on The Sarah Connor Chronicles. So, you can see, I was heavily invested in the game.
We enjoyed our snack of choice.

And that is all I have to say about that.
