Bunnies and Roosters and Chickens, Oh My

I mentioned yesterday that Mrs. Schmenkman loves all of God’s creatures, greatly. These are some of her new friends, Barnabas and Maximus.  I don’t know how to spell that.  They are as sweet as ……bunnies! SO soft!

Baby Julio and his wimmin. He is a magnificent rooster!

I tried to get a picture of his quirk. He has one feather growing in backwards, all the time. You can see it right behind the dang cage. Schmenky has pulled it out, but it is evidently how he wants it, because it grew back in the same way. This is the up yonder chicken coop. Closer to the house and Pudge the baby beaver’s compound. A special thank you to Mr. C for getting the fowl out of their house so I could photograph them. They had already turned in for the night.

Schmenky and I walked down the hill to the down yonder chicken coop. They were roosting outside for the night.

Another faincy rooster, I am sorry to say, whose name I cannot recall. He has a large clan of wimmin, but Schmenk says he is an abusive husband. Bad Rooster. Schmenk should make him wear a wife beater t-shirt.

Mr C had a Memorial Day to do list. This was on it. Straighten up the woodpile.

He can cross that off his list. One of the logs on the bottom had termites in it. He threw it into the chicken coop. Evidently a special treat for the chikins! Yum.

    Mean rooster’s name is Truman.
His shirt should say ‘wife-pecker’ but that could be misinterpreted I guess!

Mr C is very skilled in the art of woodstacking. I love the chickens on the limb roosting!

You do have a way with words and pictures that “tell” a story. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!!!
