A Day For Dads

We had a very nice Father’s Day, celebrated with several Fathers. Beeve and Stacey hosted the gala and served BBQ’d steak and chicken. It was YUMMY!

A group hug around Goomba, you can just see his head poking up at the top.

Goomba was very happy to see The Boy, as we are all happy to see The Boy lately. Being the summer intern for the middle school takes a LOT of his time.

I remembered to take a family picture! It’s not Christmas card worthy, but then you know what an ORDEAL that is.

A Dad and his Furlings. Part 1.

Part 2, The Bothering begins. Actually, The Bothering began way back in the family picture. it’s not the Girls. It’s never the Girls.

Ah, there we go, bothering contained.

Honey was less than helpful this year in the gift suggestion department. As he usually is. He usually asks for good grades, or a cleaned room. Things that are unwrappable. This year, he asked for jobs. Mulching, raking, staining the deck, helping with landscaping, moving rocks. Child labor.

Mousey made him a coo-pin. I don’t know if you can tell, but everyone is crying while they toil. They Boy while moving a boulder, Mousey is digging, and poor Ab-Cat is painting.

Someday I would like her to make me a whole book of her stick people drawings. They make me happy.

Another Dad and his big Furlings! Happy Father’s Day Dad!

Goomba is all about the Super Heroes. He and Honey played for quite a while in the Bat Cave. 015

Goomba and his Parental Units.

Thanks for having us Beeve and Stacey, it was a good day!

The boys always clown around during pictures. Except….I have a group picture where they are ALL sticking out their tongues and….that was the girl’s idea!! Love the stick drawings! And little Goomba is so big. How old is he now? It looks like you had a nice Father’s Day!

Never the girls, eh? I guess females outnumber males so majority wins I guess…but please, set the truth free! I know it was the girls who did the bothering…it had to be!

I think child labor laws stop at 16 years of age….officially anyways. He is free to crack the whip! Goomba IS getting so grown up!
