We Have A Plan

Poor Honey, when it rains it pours over here.

I believe I may have mentioned that our big computer quit us before Christmas. Just flat out refused to do what it was made to do. Can’t even play games on it, that’s how joofered up it is.

The Ab_cat’s laptop has also been threatening her. And she needs her ‘puter for important things, like college. As opposed to unimportant things, like blobbing and lunch time gaming.

Honey has been looking, and searching, and researching because that is what he lives to do. He finally found a new Dell for Ab. It’s a sparkling beauty. I would go in there right now and take a picture of it in all its glory, but she is sleeping, and that seems rude.

That’s all the good part of the whole transaction. The unhappy part was yesterday when Honey was installing it. Why can nothing go as it should for that poor man?

Arghhh, he was frustrated, to put it mildly. He finally got it up and running and it is a fine looking piece of technology!

After fiddling with that one all day, he took one more look at our supposed dinosaur from 2007. Mousey tried to back up what she wanted to be saved, mostly unsuccessful I might add, before Honey wiped the blasted thing AGAIN. I have accepted the fact that I have lost everything and I am ok with it. My plan of NEVER erasing my camera chips has come in MIGHTY handy I must say. I would still love to retrieve the email address book, but I don’t know if Honey’s sanity can withstand any more requests.

Honey discovered he could back up things using a cd, and the very last straw was when the disc player was found to be broken.

He now has two things on his to do list. Buy a new computer tower, and take a computer class at our local community college. Until one of these kids marries a computer whiz, it will hopefully keep us limping along.

Pray for us.

His Honey do list is full of frusterations! Computers; they don’t make them to last very long as ours is an ancient 2007 also. I am waiting for it to quit ANYTIME. Prayers included in this comment!

Not to sway anyone’s thoughts, feelings, etc…..just to say, we are Apple people here and wouldn’t change for love nor money. MacIntosh has been very reliable and most easy to use.
When our “surrogate family” needed a new computer , their boys lobbied for one because they really enjoyed ours when they stayed with us. Their Dad caved in and said he became a “convert” in about 15 minutes!

My sincere sympathy for Honey’s frustrations. Let him know that he has a frustrated brother over here. Our tree was hit by lightning last summer and electronics slowly died one by one. We are down to one computer…mine. A huge frustration for StanDaMan since we once had a network to rival the pentagon. We will pray for your sanity if you pray for us. We are such slaves to technology, aren’t we.
