Way Back When-sday-Field Trip With Mousey 1999

All three of our children spent a year in Mrs. Berg’s pre-school class room. They loved her for her gentleness and creativity. By the time four year old Mousey came to class, she had arranged some pretty awesome field trips! Lots of hands on activities and interesting subjects, and I tried to go to every single one of them. I have had the bittersweet thought that everything in Mousey’s life is my last hurrah as a Mama, and we were going to soak up every moment!

This trip was to Mary Denning’s Cake Shoppe. They really did a good job with the kids, the right amount of talking and showing them how to bake and decorate cakes and cookies, and then they let the kids decorate their own little cakes, and you know that was a hit!

Plus they were able to wear these cute little baker outfits!

Getting a taste of frosting.

With her buddies John and Rachel. When I showed her these pictures she said she remembered this trip! And she still knows John! They made masterpieces.
