Mousey’s last day of high school was last Thursday and their prom was on Saturday.

For her, it did not seem to be bittersweet at all. It seemed only sweet!

She started the day by going to get her hair done. A gal from church graciously volunteered to do her and two of her friends hair. Then they dressed and went over to her LAX buddy Kindork’s place for some pictures. When I arrived, something funny had just occurred, I never did hear what that was.

Chip, Beatrix and Mousey, our favorite 2012 graduates!

I have to share that Chip made her dress! Oh yes she did, and it was the first thing she ever made, except for a backpack. She likes to set challenges for herself because she is a little baby genius. Quite the over achiever and good at whatever she attempts. She can’t decide if she wants to be a singer OR a lawyer. Or maybe a doctor. She said she was actually going to miss high school because she has been so involved. Look out world, here she comes!

I cannot give you the scoop on Beatrix’s dress,

except to tell you that it was bothering her a great deal! She devised an elaborate band aid scheme to help prevent chafing. She is another gal who has many goals and irons in the fire. She has an ever so kind heart, loves the Lord and is going to work with orphans this summer in Africa. Yes, you heard that correctly, AFRICA. More specifically, Ethiopia and Kenya. Pray for her. She will be joining The Boy and The Subject down at Moody Bible College in Chicago in the fall.

They looked darling.

Our Mousey Girl. You already know all about her!

But I will tell you about her dress. She shopped multiple times looking for a dress. No luck. She looked in Florida. Regular stores and thrift stores. No luck. She did find a cute one on line, but I was leery of that. What if it didn’t come in time, or heaven help us, it didn’t fit? It might cost as much to alter it as buy it! She had one more option she said, or she wasn’t going to go. She and Chip went to a sale they had at the high school. They were selling donated dresses, all for $20.00!!!! She said she tried on about 5 and this was the one! They even had a woman there who was altering them for the students. The woman said there was plenty of room to let out the bust for old Chesty Lazar!

She looked loverly.

Their sweet ride. It’s Chip’s but she doesn’t have her license yet, so Beatrix drove.

Mousey has logged many hours with this gal.

Her Lax buddy, Kindork. She is the star of the lacrosse team and got a scholarship to play in Ohio! Go #7!

Another LAX Bro. Sam was also a swim bro.

A very short LAX bro! Mousey was perfecting her Shaq squat all evening.

Chip and Beatrix.

The hair from the left, Mousey’s better side.

And from the right.

Who’s my Girl?

You are.
