Before the last computer shutdown of 2013 I had started this post, and was surprised that it was kept in the drafts folder! Honey did some kind of magic wand wave/rain dance thing and the computer finally started. He did say we had better get a new one soon before all is lost, I just wanted you to hear him say that too, you know, confirmation and all.

Here we are back on December 20th in Chicago at Misseo Dei church. It’s located somewhere by Wrigley Field, and that is all I have to say about that. Here are the bride and groom to be, looking very relaxed. That may or may not have been the case.

The bride with her father Christian. He was excellent at his job!

The man in the center married them, his name is Dave. He was The Boy’s youth pastor all through high school and I think a little in junior high. He and his family live in Chicago now. I think it is safe to say that he knows The Boy well. He told a funny story about The Boy wanting to hang out with him all the time, but he never wanted to go to youth group. We are thankful for Dave, he has been a force for good in The Boy’s life, and now they are working together on a church plant. Who’da thunk it?

I promised The Boy that I would not do this the next day.

The cast.

Groomsmen. From the left we have Jordan, who has been a friend of The Boy’s since about second or third grade. They have been involved in many shenanigans. Some I am aware of, and a great many I am probably better off not knowing about. Next is Critcher, a friend he met on his first day at Moody. Critcher is an artsy fellow who is very funny and loves coffee and Millie. Next is a Moody co-worker named Dan. I don’t know Dan but I have heard nice things about him. On the right is our good buddy Elyk, The Boy’s partner in crime since about junior high. He has logged many hours over here at The NutHatch, and happily for us, he still comes around!

We had some yummy Italian food for dinner along with this cupcake cake, which I did not know existed. It is apparently the only way to get white and chocolate cake in a smaller sized cake. Worked for us.

The cake was good, but all the frosting was more than I could manage.

Practicing feeding cake to each other. They may have practiced that a little too well!

That is the end of the rehearsal portion of the weekend. Back with wedding pictures next.

When Gary’s lap top did this very thing, accidentally dropping it on the floor, made it come back alive. It resolved the problem TWO separate TIMES!!!!!!

Oh this is so cool and exciting for all of you! I think the Boy must have chosen…wisely!
