The Wedding-Part 2

Back to Chicago for the last time. Well, probably not the last time ever, but last time for the wedding pictures that I took.

Without further interruption, except for very random thoughts, we have the guests.

Here we have The Dane’s family, a lovely, TALL bunch! And a very talented group as well! Some played piano, guitar, some sang, a regular family band! I hear they contribute a lot to their worship team at church.

Top left, brother Joachim and his wife Miriam, center Andreas, and top right, 15 year old Frederik, we just called him Fred. Bottom row, The Dane and her Mom and Dad.

Kristian and Jeanette, The Parental Danes. They came to The Mitten with Fun Fred to visit for a few days. We had such a nice time visiting and eating with them and they had such a nice time SHOPPING!!!! Doesn’t The Dane look like her mother? OH.MY.WORD. it was unnerving at first!!! I felt like I was staring!

They had to drive back to Chicago in horrible weather to catch their flight back to Denmark, nerve wracking I am sure. It was so good getting to know them and we are hoping the next time they come they will be able to stay longer!

Our Dear Friends The Hostler’s were in attendance! We were so happy they made it in! We had heard tales of a dastardly ice storm wreaking havoc on the roads, but they timed it just right! This family is woven into our family’s fabric, like our own personal clan/kilt /tartan/flag thingie. or something like that. I saw that on the wall of a fish restaurant we used to go to, Scottish clans and their flag or colors or what have you. We could fly our Dehostwaeler clan flag at the fish place!

My brother Beeve and his clan! Wife Stacey and son Goomba, the dancemaster jammer!

Actually, Beeve and I DID have our clan colors featured on the wall of the fish joint, the clan of Davidson!

Also rocking the Davidson Family tartan is my Uncle Bob and Aunt Phyllis with their daughter, Girl Cousin Lindsay. Honey is getting ready to photo bomb.

Full on photo bomb. He should not be there, he has no Scottish tartan/kilt thingy! I made them pose for another picture because my Uncle Bob is presenting the smile of his people. We have talked to him about this before. I don’t know if it is a southern thing or what. Try and look as solemn as possible.

MUCH better! Even though Girl Cousin Lindsay looks like she has just pushed Honey out of the previous picture.

And here we are, Honey and his wimmin’. You should have seen us all trying to get ready in that little hotel room with the teeny tiny bathroom! But we were all cleaned up, hair done, dressed appropriately, shape wear-ed within an inch of our lives, some smelling like bought smells, and accessorized.

And with The Grandpa, who was looking pretty spiffy himself! It’s good to know we can clean up well!

The Dehostwaeler Kids!

With their own photo bomber! Jona-fin, he’s the best!

I try and take every opportunity to get a picture of Honey and I together! It doesn’t happen often, but it’s proof that we do sometimes dress up and get out!

We met The Subject’s new POI, Carly. Actually, not so new, but recently admitted to. I guess he is weird like that.

Here is Elyk with our new best friend, Maggie! She hung out with us all day on Saturday because Elyk was otherwise engaged doing wedding stuff. She also got ready with us in the little hotel room with the itty bitty bathroom! We even all napped together briefly. We are now bonded for life.

Here is a great guy! He was The Boy and Elyk’s small group Bible study leader when they were in junior high! I give him SO much credit because I remember those knuckle headed boys in junior high, and Mike deserves some kind of medal or something!!! He has remained an important influence in both of their lives. Mike attended with his girlfriend Jen, whom I have heard nothing but wonderful things about! True story, Jen’s brother is one of The Boy and The Dane’s favorite professors at Moody! They just found that out! Small world!

The Grandpa, sporting a kiss from Mousey Ann.

And there you have it, the best of the wedding pictures I took. I am just thankful that I remembered to use my camera! As you know, that is not always the case!

Great pics! Not only does The Dane look like her mother, I’m seeing others that reflect their moms, too. Ab-cat certainly looks like her Capri mom; and Goomba has his mother’s smile. (The Subject looks like his mom, too)

    Thanks for sharing.

I was wondering if The Danes were able to get their flight. Terrible weather we’re having. It looks as if it was a loverly celebration. Y’all clean up real purty!
