Little Bits of Life

Our weather was a touch springy this weekend so I went out to take a gander in the yard this morning, just to see if anything was going on.

I saw a pre-leaf on the weeping cherry! They are not everywhere, but there are a few!

I think the spirea are dead. Those holly are going to have to be pruned all the way down.

I then took a stroll down the hedge of death. There is nothing going on along the actual hedge, but there little green leaves of life at the very, very bottom! I saw about 15-20 little specks of green, hopefully there is more where that came from!

I guess you are right Schmenky, we are going to have to cut it in less than half. It’s going to be an ugly eyesore for a few years.

This little burning bush has also given its notice. It always was the runt of the litter. R.I.P. little buddy.

I really need to get out there and start working. You know the weeds did not die, and they are already having a weed fiesta, just in time for for Cinco de Mayo.

I predict that weeds will survive a nuclear incident. Weeds and Japanese beetles.

You’ll probably be surprised at how fast that privet grows back. Hope we go back to the milder winters for awhile.

You need more pavement and/or concrete!
