No More Hedge of Death

I believe I have mentioned a time or two that we had a really bad winter up here in The Mitten. The Polar Vortex pretty much made our beautimous 180 foot hedge look like a mangy dog. It did try and regroup, but in the end, it was a lost cause.

The one end looked spotty.

The middle looked choppy.

And the far end just looked dead.

Honey hired a company to come and whack it down to meet the new growth, around a couple feet. They came Saturday before we left for the Tiger game.

We are looking at way more field than we are used to, but it is a welcome change. We were tired of looking at all the ugly.

The Chicago two go home tonight so we are still staycationing. Talk to you later!

    I just whacked my cosmos back because a groundhog decided they made a nice sleeping spot. Your yard looks pretty still, and I’m sure they’ll grow back nicely. Enjoy your staycation!
