The Weekly Sy with an update

Facetimed with The Boy last night.

The Dane arrived in Denmark safe and sound and is in the good company of her People. That is answered prayer.

The Boy had his blood drawn yesterday and his counts were down to 14,000 from 21,000 on Monday. The sadness and discouragement were written plainly on his face.

He will have blood work done on Saturday, and again on Monday before he makes a decision on travelling. If his platelet count is not heading in a considerably higher direction, he will not be able to go.

He has had ITP related disappointments before, but a missed birthday party or outing, being benched from his beloved skateboard or the much lesser loss of missing large chunks of 8th grade middle school, simply do not compare to the loss of this trip.

Prayers are appreciated. We know nothing is too hard for God.

A little sweetness to temper the bitter? This is one of Sy’s favorite places to sleep. I have received many pictures, and even seen him on Facetime, lounging in his Precious.

The Dane says he can be found in the bathroom a lot too.

Or in the window. He’s a good sleeper.

Hard to believe it’s August first, the beginning of the end of summer. Enjoy your weekend.

Praying. And the cute cat is SO cute. Maybe the kitty will help comfort Conner. Kitties are good at that.
