The Weekly Sy and an Update on the Doings

A sleeping kitty is one of my favorite things! This week features Snoozing Sy.

I would have been B.O.T.H.E.R.I.N.G. him.

There has been some Hectic over here the last few days. Some good and some alarming.

The week started with Jip the Farm Dog in the hospital with blood clots in both lungs!!! I can assure you, no one saw that coming. The Lord, in His infinite mercy, protected her life from further harm and she is resting semi-comfortably at home with the aid of Percocet. She has learned, the hard way, that when in excruciating pain it is not wise to go off pain medication so you can drive and give the BSF lecture. Narcotics are a girls best friend when breathing hurts, forget the diamonds.

That was the alarming portion of the week, the good part was The Boy and The Dane came in on Wednesday! It’s always good to see them and hug their necks! He still has one more week of the Rituxin, but it is abundantly clear that it is not working at all. He had 4 doses of IVIG before he came to plump up his 11,000 platelet count. He brought with him a myriad of side effects, including major insomnia and a bad case of teenage skin. So that Christmas picture I was hoping for? Probably not going to happen, because that would be mean. The next time we see him at Thanksgiving he could be in the middle of The Brew, and you know what chemotherapy does to hair. I guess he could wear a hat? We will cross that bridge when we come to it.

We have been doing some eating and shopping, and sitting around visiting is what we seem to do best.

Have a good weekend. No Hectic. I’m serious.

So sad that The Boy’s counts didn’t stay up. Extra prayers for both he and Jip.
