Hi Guys. Here are my schnibbles of stuff for this Friday.
1. Well, we found out what is going on across the street. The same company was on our street all last summer, working on the house two doors down from them. That house had all manner of necessary, outside, un-fun, things done to it. New windows, siding, roof. All good things, solid, needed and pro active, but not exactly exciting. It would appear that the neighbors across the street are on the same path.
2. All, most likely, more welcome than having the entire front yard and drive way ripped up to have a new sewer line installed, when your house is only 13 years old.
3. It has been chilly up here in The Mitten. I think we are all longing for the delicious weather we had a couple of weeks ago. We are expecting rain today. That, coupled with the fact that I am cold and have been up since 4:30, gives me a sneaking suspicion that a nap could be in my future.
4. Tomorrow is the last day of tutoring for ABC’s in the D. Our gal Ja’Shayla has not been in over a month and my partner and I are very sad and a little worried. We know she has had some upheaval in her life. I am praying she comes tomorrow. I hope she can come back next year.
5. What if she doesn’t come back next year? What if I get a new child and they don’t like me? What if they have learning problems and I can’t help them? Whoa Nelly, let us cross those bridges when we come to them.
6. I need to remember that if I DO get a new child, God will have hand picked them for me. And there will be a reason we are together….so, breathe deep and relax.
7. I was bummed Heejun went home on American Idol last night. he had a really good voice. But that’s the problem this year, they almost ALL have really good voices.
8. Heavens to mergatroid, I do not have a lot to share today!

I think it was Snagglepuss and…….my mother!! It was sad to see Hejun go; it was such a sweet soul with a great sense of humor and a great voice. It is hard this year…everyone is so good. I even loved Colton this week.

I did tutoring/mentoring for about 3 years and I had 3 different kids over that time. It was ups and downs all the time but each kid had something special they brought to the table. Who knows what all they go through but no matter what, a little “normal” does everyone some good!
